Four Days In San Diego California
What a year it’s been. With months of lock down and uncertainty of the future, a trip down the 405 to San Diego was a much needed refreshment. From the time we arrived, the theme of the trip seemed to be “rest.”
We stayed at the brand new Legacy Hotel and Spa Resort. The fact that it was built in 2019 eased my concerns of germs of various travelers and old rooms. The staff was friendly. And the rooms were clean and organized.

I liked that the bathroom was separate from the sink and mirror area.
The first night we walked around Balboa Park. I loved the architecture and lights that lit up the place. There were so many areas to sit, eat and explore. It is a huge park and I definitely need to revisit.
The next day we rented bikes in Mission Beach. Great affordable prices and sanitized equipment. $10 an hour for a regular bike and bike with child carrier. If riding with young children, I recommend bringing their own helmet.

FOOD
My family and I went vegan this summer. We found an awesome drive-thru vegan restaurant called Evolution. For breakfast we ate a slapping meal at Breakfast Republic which was also vegan friendly. The links are below.

THE LAST DAY
We visited the San Diego zoo. The weather was overcast and perfect. I couldn’t believe how big and pristine the zoo was. The animals appeared to be well taken cared of.
There’s also plenty of restaurants spread throughout the zoo, and bathrooms. And also stroller friendly.

After the zoo we went to Embarcadero park. The views at night of the San Diego skyline were jaw dropping. I loved that we could park right in front of the ocean.

This trip was a blast. We got plenty of much needed relaxation and beautiful sights. All the places we visited abided by COVID guidelines and masks were required. I got alot of photos. But they still don’t do the places justice. Looking forward to going back!
